Challenge & Scope Advancing community development with efficient case tracking.

A city-level department of community development needed a system for contractors as part of their case tracking initiatives. This department works to support youth and their families through a range of programs, administering city, state and federal funds to community-based organizations. These programs include youth employment services, afterschool programs, and services for runaway and homeless youth, such as short-term shelter and independent living services.

Specifically, the department needed to have access to all hiring information for all providers, including quotes, annual tax, renewals, and extensions. As a Health and Personal Services agency, this new system had to be integrated with their preexisting financial management system for budget and payment modifications.

Solution Leveraging MS Dynamics 365 to build a participant tracking solution.

To solve the client’s challenges, PruTech utilized Microsoft Dynamics 365 to develop a system that allowed contractors to access, track, and provide services to participants of extracurricular activity programs, literacy, and housing. This system possessed the capability to handle complex workflows, receive intake forms, improve search filter routines, and generate reports via SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

After its development, PruTech integrated this solution with the appropriate internal and external financial systems for budgeting, payment processing, and verification. The team also performed a comprehensive data migration of the agency’s system of record. Other than MS Dynamics 365 and SRRS, the team leveraged Resco to build the mobile solution, as well as Angular, .NET, C #, MS SQL Server, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Result A highly effective solution in service of 200,000+ citizens.

PruTech’s participant tracking system enabled more than 10,000 contractors across the entire department to deliver services to over 200,000 participants across the city. The solution’s seamless integration with the financial management system (FMS) and data migration allowed the department to immediately take advantage of these new case tracking capabilities. Thanks to PruTech’s invaluable assistance, the department achieved maximum efficiency in providing communities with the programs and services that allow people to flourish.
